The Magic Square: Reframe Your Yoga Approach with Greg Hines
4-part series
Fridays: October 13 & 20, 7:30-9:00pm
Saturdays: October 14 & 21, 3:00-4:30pm
We rely on frameworks to organize our lives in space and time. Calendars plot the course of our years. Constellations orient our planet in the Cosmic “big picture.” Epic stories tell tales of hope, caution, and connection. The Magic Square is a framework in the most practical sense: a four cornered frame--a window to see through, a door to move through. Referencing its geometry, we inhabit our bodies and lives. Referencing its polarities, we comprehend time and the power of being present. Over this four-part series, we’ll use the Magic Square’s framework to cultivate insights and reframe our practice.

Little 'Ones' Yoga with Julia Andrighetti
Saturday, October 14, 10:15-11:15am
This kids yoga workshop is a fun opportunity for your child (ages 6-10) to explore themes of yoga, honor its roots, and embrace the playfulness of being a kid. There will be yoga games, mindfulness activities, pranayama (breathing), asana (poses), imaginative movement, supportive relaxation, and opportunities for connection with peers as they build empathy, resilience, proprioception, self-regulation skills, and self-esteem. They will learn the power of their bodies, breath, and mind, and how to take yoga off their mats, out of the studio, and into their families, schools, and friendships. During this October workshop we will celebrate Autumn and the lessons from the trees, including Aparigraha (non-grasping).

During this workshop, come be open to the sounds of the gong, Tibetan singing bowls, tongue drum, sansula, chimes, buffalo drum, shakers, and handpan surrounding you for 45 minutes lying down or sitting.
