9/9 UPDATE: This workshop has been cancelled.
This kids yoga workshop is a fun opportunity for your child (ages 6-10) to explore themes of yoga, honor its roots, and embrace the playfulness of being a kid. There will be yoga games, mindfulness activities, pranayama (breathing), asana (poses), imaginative movement, supportive relaxation, and opportunities for connection with peers as they build empathy, resilience, proprioception, self-regulation skills, and self-esteem. They will learn the power of their bodies, breath, and mind, and how to take yoga off their mats, out of the studio, and into their families, schools, and friendships.
During this September workshop, we will celebrate ‘Back to School’ and say our goodbyes to summer as we explore the element of summer: Fire (Agni).
About the instructor Julia Andrighetti (she/her) is a former preschool teacher and kid's dance instructor. She now teaches yoga to both adults and children. As a certified Children's Yoga Instructor, she believes wholeheartedly in the value of bringing yoga to youth. In a time where kids face more stress than ever, Julia’s hope is to empower them to be able to connect to themselves and the world around them as they learn to tune into their bodies, breath, and minds, while exploring freedom, flow, and fun.
Maximum of 10 children. Parents/guardians can drop students off at the studio, but must remain in the Ivy Building for the duration of the class.
