May 25: Intro to Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga

What is Mysore Ashtanga?


Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga is where students practice the Ashtanga yoga sequence at their own pace with individual attention from the teacher including hands-on adjustments and verbal cuing. If you are interested in learning more about this style of yoga practice, join us for this Intro to Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga workshop to understand some foundational information about how this method adapts to create a personal yoga practice within a template for guiding practice. We will focus on aspects specific to this method through dialogue and discussion, and will go through the first asana task within the first series (suranamakra A + B). Supplemental documents will be provided to address the opening and closing chants, as well as the full first ("primary") series.


One Yoga holds 6 weekly Mysore practices in-person in the studio and live-streamed online. We are one of the only studios in the Twin Cities to regularly hold space for Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga. Come learn more about the practice!


This is an online workshop taking place on Zoom. Online pre-registration is strongly encouraged. This workshop is priced on a sliding scale. Choose an amount that feels right for you.
