On-Site Yoga

One Yoga’s mission is to make the benefits of yoga accessible to those who are not accessing them. We do that through all studio classes offered on a sliding fee bases and by partnering with community organizations.

One Yoga’s community partners are non-profit and governmental organizations. The benefits of yoga are offered to both the clients and the organization’s staff. Our partners are organizations providing services to at need populations in the Twin Cities—including at-risk youth, senior citizens, the homeless, those suffering from illness and disease, those in residential treatment programs, and people with physical and developmental disabilities. In collaboration with these organizations we bring yoga classes tailor-made to their specific needs.

The communities we work with have immense needs for the emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits of the yoga practice. Each group and each student is distinctive in the challenges they face and the way in which they cope with these challenges. Yoga is one tool to help them live a more productive and engaged life by attending to their emotional/mental, physical, and spiritual health. One Yoga focuses on the individual—by adapting course content to meet students where they are emotionally, physically, spiritually and economically.

Yoga also offers the emotional support of a community of yoga practitioners. Each class develops its own identity and draws inspiration from communal breath, and movement, and in experiencing the present moment collectively. One Yoga is dedicated to the cultivation of a yogic community of existing and new practitioners.

There are two great ways to join our mission.

1. DONATE. You can contribute to the One Yoga Outreach Fund by sponsoring a specific partnership that speaks to you or the Fund in general allowing us to respond to partnership opportunities as they arise — large contributions are needed to meet our goal but any small amount will help sustain and develop existing and future community partnerships.

2. ADVOCATE for our cause in the community and in the studio. As the reputation and mission of One Yoga gain more visibility, more and more organizations are becoming interested in the unique service we offer. These two simple steps are what will fuel the commendable work of our teachers and will continue to bring yoga to populations who have traditionally lacked access.
